The skies cleared up for Ashley and Brandon’s wedding, making it a beautiful day both outside and in. Everything about this wedding shouted fall beauty from the hints of changing leaves on the trees, to the bridesmaids’ gem-toned dresses, to the gorgeous arrangement of flowers. We were so happy to see that the two had an adventurous bridal party that followed us all around Revolution Hall to get some great shots.

Ashley and Bill had a wonderful wedding day filled with elegant flowers, soft dog kisses, raining bubble blasts, joyful tears, belly laughs, and killer dance moves. They had their first look in front of the river, and you would have thought they were royalty by the amount they were cheered on by passers by. We were able to get pictures in some fun spots around Revolution Hall including some unfinished spaces upstairs and the Malt Room below.

Ali and Max were surrounded by loving family and friends as they tied the knot at Revolution Hall on Saturday. They had a large bridal party that were good sports about getting nice and close for photos on such a sweltering day. Ali looked like a Disney princess, and Max, was suited up as her Prince Charming. Rev Hall was the perfect venue for these two as it harkened back to the early days of their romance when Ali tended bar at Max’s local watering hole.

Amy and Ryan had an epic wedding day. Both the bride and groom had fun getting ready with friends and family and met up behind Revolution Hall for their first look. From that moment on, the two were united and ready to make this their best day ever. Amy and Ryan thought of everything to make their special day the next level of special. From their homemade golf tee/hops magnetic ties, to their dog Dunkin’s matching “suit”, to beautiful handmade centerpieces, to personalized vows, they truly thought of it all when it cam to making this celebration a day to remember.

Cheyenne and Ron had all the ingredients necessary for an amazing wedding: a sunny day, a fun-loving bridal party, an amazing venue, and a couple that are very much in love. These two are such a great match… quite literally; they matched profiles multiple times as we learned from their ceremony, so it seems they were meant to be! Cheyenne and Ron also made their day special with countless well thought out details that represented who they are, and oftentimes had their handiwork on them.

Erin and John had a beautiful day for a beautiful ceremony to celebrate the start of a beautiful marriage. Erin was walked down the aisle by her three boys, making it truly a family celebration. Guests then headed over to Revolution Hall where there was an abundance of great food, beer, dancing, and laughter. Family and friends were treated to lovely speeches and a blessing that captured so many of the wonderful things that make these two so perfect for each other.

We really couldn’t ask for a more perfect way to end our wedding season than with Kelly and Alfred’s fairytale and superhero themed wedding. From Kelly’s Cinderella dress and gold shoes, to the groomsmen’s superhero boutonnieres and assuming a super hero landing for photos, to the perfect reading from The Princess Bride followed by the song “So This Is Love” from Cinderella in their ceremony, to pumpkin decoration that were just a wish away from assuming stage coaches, these two had these themes covered.

Kay and Aaron had a beautiful December day to get hitched… quite a bit warmer than when we met for their engagement session last year! The two met up at Revolution Hall for a very sweet first look followed by some pictures around the grounds with their very fun (and only slightly hypothermic) wedding party. The Hall was decked with beautiful seasonal decorations and featured a dessert table that was a pyramid loaded with mason jars filled with pie filling goodness (no apple pie though, which we found out from the best man’s speech, is something Aaron has a history with!

Most couples would describe their wedding day as a magical day, but Deanna and Ryan incorporated some legit magic, Harry Potter-style on their wedding day… which seemed most fitting since Ryan proposed to Deanna in Harry Potter World. The two had their first look in downtown Troy and then headed over to Revolution Hall for a beautiful ceremony where they were married by an officiant (whose power was invested in her by both New York State and the Ministry of Magic.

When you work with couples this much fun, it’s really not fair to call it work. ;) We started by dividing up where Nichole and Matt were getting ready so that they could each get a picture with one of their fur babies. After that, we met them at Revolution Hall which looked stunning, thanks in part to Nichole’s mom who HAND MAID the two story curtain for the stage they were married on (which we later found out was purchased with the promise of more business from the venue!

We couldn’t have wrapped up this long weekend with a nicer couple. We caught up with Janis and George while they were both getting ready. Evidence of Janis’s handiwork was all over their home. Copper spray paint and turquoise ribbon were evidence of her labor of love in making her own bouquets, decorations, and centerpieces for all of the tables. Janis and George got married at the beautiful Christ the King Church.

There is no better way to start a double header weekend than with a super fun, photogenic couple (Ashley and Chuck) at a favorite venue (Revolution Hall). Celeste and Dan had a perfect day for a January wedding, a light snowfall in the morning followed by rising temperatures throughout the day. The two got ready at the First Presbyterian Church in Albany, which rivals any local church on beauty and charm. But after our engagement session in an abandoned factory, let’s just say that taking pictures was much less complicated in this beautiful space with this beautiful couple.

Molly and Adam were such a fun couple to close out our fall wedding season. The two had a beautiful ceremony at Revolution Hall. The service was officiated by Father Bob, who truly captured the joy of this couple and this day. These two must be on Mother Nature’s good side because the foliage peek was delayed this year and made for a beautiful backdrop for some photos. The wedding party soon joined the rest of the guests for cocktail hour and the celebrating really began.

I love adventurous couples. First, when we met we told them about our urban decay project and that Carrie at Rev Hall showed me the upstairs there, they were: “let’s do that.” Then, when I contacted them on Friday to what they wanted to do with the rain coming in, they were: “no, let’s do it anyway.” This sets the scene for some awesome photos in my book. Add two amazing people who are obviously so in love, and you get this blog post.
