I must say, the following are signs that you photographed an amazing wedding 1. You can’t stop laughing as you go through trying to rate photos 2. You can’t possibly pick just a few highlights and 3. You find yourself grinning from ear to ear as you edit away thinking just how happy the couple looks.  Kara and Griffin’s wedding exceeded all three of these criteria.  We got a chance to get to know these  two back when we did an engagement session in Central Park and Brooklyn, so it we just picked up where we left off. The bridal party was attentive and just kept the laughs coming.  We did a first look at the Education Building and ventured around the Capitol for more shots.  It was soon time for the ceremony where the couple had put a lot of thought and care into setting up a beautiful arbor, decor, and a chalk heart walkway to lead to the special spot.  After a sweet ceremony, the (very committed) guests walked up to the Capitol steps for a group shot before heading back down the hill to the comforts of cocktails and AC at the State Room.  And from there the party literally never stopped. There were first dances, parent dances, toasts (one had guest stars PB & J), an anniversary dance, a traditional “Thats Amore” dance… and then, just a lot more dancing.  The night concluded with a sparkler send off which was fitting since I’m sure their next chapter will be filled with a lot of light and spark.  Thanks Griffin and Kara, for a memorable day.  We hope your future turns out “As you wish.”
